THE STORY OF THIS PIECE

This was the first piece I designed

The night my soul dog passed, the thing I couldn't stop thinking about was the last time I held her- the weight of her against my chest, her head tucked under my chin.

It's the exact pose I kept looking for in every piece I searched for, and couldn't find.

So I commissioned it. The figure holding the dog was sculpted by hand from a photograph of that last hug. Every ring is cast from that same mold. When you put it on, you're wearing the embrace I wish I'd held for one minute longer.
